Mitchell + Rebecca // A Jones Lake Styled Elopement
Our day started with a drive out to Jones Lake from Vancouver which included about two hours of early 2000’s hit list sing along serenade. The last 9km stretch was up to an elevation of 600 m above the Fraser River where Jones Lake is nestled in surrounded by some of the greatest Pacific North West views including glacier covered rocky mountains, green, lush forested mountains and a frozen snowy lake. We all were super happy we chose to drive my 4x4 jeep as the winter conditions were in full effect!
Rebecca + Mitchell are outdoor adventure enthusiasts so spending the day out at Jones Lake was the absolute perfect get away. Amanda from Green Leaf Floral Design is an absolute mastermind when it comes to floral design and she did not disappoint with a HUGE bouquet that perfectly coincided with our winter wonderland theme. I can’t thank Everly Fine Bridal enough for trusting in my vision for this shoot and lending out this stunning Made with Love gown and cape that was seriously made for a bride like Rebecca. While I’m at it, shout out to Mikaela Peterson who was also a huge part of this shoot, not only doing hair and makeup for Mitch + Becs, but also being an integral part of pushing my jeep up a hill to get us out of Jones Lake at the end of the shoot. Heck yeaaa to a coupla small town Saskatchewan farm kids for troubleshooting our way out of a snowbank.
